Date and time-based display

Date and time-based display rules let you configure content display depending on the following parameters:

  • Date and time
  • Day of the week

These rules let you display content on screens on specific days of the week, within specified date and time ranges.

Use case example

Suppose a restaurant chain runs a happy hours promotion offering a 20% discount on the entire menu.

This promotion is only available on weekdays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Without scenarios, you would need to create a separate playlist with the updated menu and duplicate content.

However, with a scenario, you can add the happy hours promotion directly to the main playlist and display it exclusively during the specified time.

Date and time

Use the Date Range rule to display content only within a specified date range.

Available date conditions:

  • Indefinitely
  • Specific period

Available time conditions:

  • All day
  • Specific hours

With this rule, make sure content is displayed exclusively within the specified date range and during specific hours.

Days of the week

Configure content to be displayed based on days of the week. For example, display content only on specific days like Monday, Sunday, etc.

Available conditions:

  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday
