Locations

Locations play a key role in managing screen groups and help you organize them by their physical positions.

Every screen must have a location assigned.

When adding screens to playlists, you can filter them by location name.

Key features of locations

Centralized screen status monitoring

Locations help organize screens by different zones or regions, which makes it easier to track their status and manage screenshots.

Time zone, address, and coordinates management

• Configure time zones for each location to control playlist schedules
• Set physical addresses for locations
• Specify geographic coordinates for accurate weather scenario operations

URL parameters

In URL parameter settings, specify GET parameters that will be passed when displaying web pages on all screens in the specified location.

When opening a web page, besides the specified URL parameters, the system passes the location ID with a locationId key:

example.ru/?locationId=c1e9638d-d989-43e3-b76d-57cf5070c814

To pass GET parameters from locations for web pages, enable this setting in the web page parameters.

Renaming locations

To change a location name, click the name on the location page.

Viewing screen lists

To view a screen list, open the location page and click the Screens tab.

Screen management

Move and delete screens in the Screens tab.

Click “Select” to manage screens.

Warning!

Deleting a screen on the location page removes it permanently from the service, not just from the current location.

Important notes

Make sure time zones are configured correctly for each location to display playlists at intended local times.

A playlist scheduled for 2:00 PM will appear on screens according to their location’s time zone.

For weather scenarios, empty coordinate fields default to Moscow’s geographical position.

Notes

All changes to time zones, addresses, or coordinates automatically apply to all screens in the location.
