Content lifetime

Content lifetime lets you to restrict content display on screens based on dates.

This is a simple yet useful setting for automating content management.

Configuring content lifetime

Setting a lifetime

  1. In the organization, go to the Files page
  2. Right-click a file you need and select “Edit”
  3. In the opened window, either set an unlimited lifetime or specify the exact start and end dates for content display

Configuration options

  • Unlimited

If you select this option, screens will display the content indefinitely without any start or end dates.

  • Specific period

When selecting this option, specify start and end dates.

The content will appear on screens during the specified period, including both the start and end dates.

Content behavior before the lifetime start date

Content with a scheduled lifetime that has not yet reached its start date will behave as follows:

  • Even if the content is added to a playlist, screens will not display it until the start date
  • Once the start date arrives, the content will automatically appear on screens according to its settings

With this setting, your content remains hidden until its designated start date, so you can prepare materials for future display in advance.

Content behavior after the lifetime end date

On the day following the end date, your screens will automatically stop displaying the content. However:

  • It will remain in the file storage
  • It will remain in the playlist content lists

The content is not deleted, but its display on screens is suspended.

Identifying content with a scheduled lifetime

Content with a scheduled lifetime is marked with a clock icon.

Viewing the lifetime
